What I Do

I have experience in interactive design, marketing design and visual design. While I've spent a portion of my career in leadership and director positions I also still enjoy getting down into the working gears of a product and pushing it toward excellence. Game Design

I have a background in web, mobile as well as console gaming. My past projects range from lean and minimalistic apps all the way into hard core character battlers. Whether the product has a linear experience or is an evergreen live business I approach every design with versatility and an expectation to make something 'best-in-class'.

Design Works

UX Design

I've championed this space to various degrees on every product I've worked on. Broadstrokes impact high level perceptions that wrap around a product. Fine details impact every reward sequence and tap of a button. All equally important in every digitial product.

Casual

Visual Design

I enjoy creating the look/feel of a game or interactive experience. While on very small teams I've had to do this more independently, I've found exploration and collaboration with a solid creative team to be an important part of this effort. This process can be a ton of fun when iterations are within a good creative culture.

Example Product

Marketing Design

I've been a student of this discipline my entire career. I've always been inspired by work that can grab an audience's attention while providing the barest of information. A single image. A quick clip. The cover of a magazine or book. A movie poster. I enjoy the challenge of reaching an audience and inspiring them to engage with a product.

Some odds/ends contract work

I occasionally help other friends in the game industry with different types of work. I'm used to communicating design through art so setting rough direction or building out some stylistic examples for various parts of an interactive expereince is built into my DNA. If you'd like to collaborate on something, let me know!
